RAHILL SURNAME AND RESEARCH GLEANINGS

My oldest known Rahill was William Rahill of Thurles, Tipperary. William was born in 1742. He married Joanna (Unknown). The had at least one child, a son named Timothy. Timothy married Mary Mockler of Grange, Tipperary before the year 1795. I know that two of their children were sons named William and Michael Rahill. The oldest known William Rahill and his son Timothy (husband of Mary Mockler) are buried in Killinin Cemetery outside of Thurles. Timothy and Mary Mockler Rahill and thier children came to America during the potato famine from Ireland about 1849.
