On Thursday last,
James N. Hodgson, formerly of this place; who has
been in the employ of du Points at Carney' Point,
visited West Chester, accompanied by a charming
young lady, whom he introduced to friends as Miss
Florence Callihan of Reading. To a very few of Mr.
Hodgson's closest friends the happy news was imparted
that the young couple anticipated being married
very soon, but few realized that the wedding was
to occur at one. Today the announcement is made
of his having secured a marriage license in this
place. After securing the necessary piece of paper
from the Clerk of the Courts' office the tow left
for Philadelphia, where they were made one and are
now enjoying a short wedding tour, which, when finished,
will find them both "at home" to all their
friends at Carney's Point.
